We visited our 44th National Park in April of 2006, Channel Islands off the coast of Ventura/Oxnard, CA. What luck we had in our timing, especially on Anacapa Island! Most of the birds squawked as we came near, but then I heard a sound more like a bird purring, and looked up to see this mating scene. This is the second of 3 art quilts based on that wonderful experience on Anacapa Island!
