Wearable Art
|
|
The first sewing I did was to make all my own clothing as a teenager and college student. I even made my own bridal gown. Later, I designed, sewed and marketed bridal gowns in a business partnership. Now I use wearable art as a way to play with textures and colors and new techniques. My wearables have won many prizes including Third Prize in the Hoffman Challenge clothing division. In 1997, I was selected to be a designer for the Fairfield Fashion Show. NEW! I will be a designer for the 2004 Bernina Fashion Show premiered at Quilt Market and the International Quilts Festival for 2004. |
